Let’s Take Your Through The P.U.R.T.® Process
- The source and severity of the odor are determined, then the carpet or rug will be rinsed and extracted with a hot water rinse to remove the bulk of the urine crystals.
- In worst cases, the carpet is pulled back in the suspected areas to reveal the extent of the damage.*
- If necessary, the pad will be removed and replaced.*
- An odor blocking shellac may be applied to the sub-floor if determined necessary.*
- P.U.R.T.® will then be applied heavily to the tack strip, the sub floor, the baseboards, and the carpet backing. It is necessary to apply this product heavily enough to dampen all areas affected by the urine.*
- Over the next 24 to 36 hours, the ingredients in P.U.R.T.® will react with the urine, and break down the odor-causing components.
*Additional charges may apply for services based on your unique situation and the amount of time and cleaning solution is required to remove the pet odors. Please note that this process may take up to 48-hours to fully dry. You may want to ventilate your home slightly so that the odor can escape.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does your Pet Urine Removal Treatment (P.U.R.T.®) work?
Unlike standard carpet cleaning that just masks smells with heavy perfumes, our specialized P.U.R.T.® process targets the problem at a microscopic level. We first locate hidden spots using an ultraviolet light, rinse away the bulk of the urine crystals, and apply our patented treatment deep into the carpet, pad, and subfloor. Over the next 24 to 36 hours, P.U.R.T. reacts with the urine to completely break down and destroy the odor-causing components for good.
How long does it take for the treated areas to dry?
Because our primary carbonated cleaning process uses a fraction of the water required by traditional steam cleaners, your carpets dry quickly. However, because the P.U.R.T.® application must heavily penetrate the carpet fibers and backing to fully interact with the deep urine crystals, the treated zones can take up to 48 hours to completely dry. We recommend keeping the area well-ventilated during this window.
Why can't I just use a standard steam cleaner for pet accidents?
Standard steam cleaning relies on high moisture, which can worsen pet urine problems. When urine dries, it forms highly concentrated odor crystals deep in your carpet padding. Adding massive amounts of water from a steam cleaner reactivates these crystals and spreads them deeper into your subfloor. Our low-moisture carbonated process lifts stains out, while P.U.R.T. targets and dissolves the crystals at the source.
